PET Faced Plywood — High Gloss and Super Matt
A 0.35–0.5 mm PET film pressed onto plywood or MDF — the finish that kitchen and wardrobe doors have moved to.
Indicative FOB reference. Final price depends on core, glue class, volume and freight at time of order.
Request a quotation→PET faced board replaces lacquered and acrylic doors in kitchen and wardrobe production because it arrives finished: a polyester film, typically 0.35–0.5 mm thick, is pressed onto a plywood, MDF or HDF substrate and needs no painting, no polishing and no drying time.
The film is dense and non-porous, so it resists fingerprints, household cleaners and knife scratches far better than melamine paper — which is why super-matt PET has become the finish of choice for handleless kitchen fronts. Huayanwood supplies PET faced panels in 1220 × 2445 mm, 5 mm to 18 mm, on plywood or MDF substrate, with matching edge tape.

Finished on arrival
No paint line, no oven, no rework. A PET panel goes from pallet to edge-bander to assembled cabinet, which is why it suits factories without a finishing shop.
Super-matt that stays matt
Anti-fingerprint super-matt film keeps its look in daily kitchen use. Ordinary matt melamine polishes shiny where hands touch it within months.
Scratch and stain resistance
PET film shrugs off the scratches and cleaning chemicals that mark melamine paper, and wipes clean without a trace.
Substrate choice that matters
Plywood for structural or humid-risk applications, MDF for routed and painted-edge work, HDF where impact resistance is needed — the film is the same, the core is your decision.
Where it is used
Super-matt fronts for handleless and slab doors.
High-gloss and matt fronts with matching edge tape.
Non-porous surface that tolerates a wet room.

Frequently asked
Anything not covered? Send the specification and we will answer in writing.
Ask a question →PET, melamine or acrylic — what is the difference?
Melamine is a printed paper impregnated with resin: cheapest, but it scratches and dulls. Acrylic is a solid high-gloss sheet: very deep gloss, but it chips and shows fingerprints. PET is a polyester film: harder than melamine, more resistant than acrylic to scratches and chemicals, and available in a genuine super-matt finish.
Should I choose high gloss or super matt?
Super matt (anti-fingerprint) dominates current kitchen design and hides marks best. High gloss gives a deeper, more reflective finish but shows fingerprints and cleaning streaks more readily. Many buyers stock both.
Does PET faced board need edge banding?
Yes — the panel is cut after pressing, so edges are raw substrate. We supply matching PET edge tape so the banded edge reads as the same surface.
Can PET faced panels be used outdoors?
The film is durable but the substrate is not exterior grade. We recommend PET faced panels for interior use only; for exterior work choose film faced or marine plywood.
What formaldehyde grade do you supply?
E1 as standard, with ENF (ultra-low emission) available on MDF and plywood substrates for project orders. Test reports can be issued with the shipping documents.
