Chipboard & Particle Board — Raw and Melamine Faced
Graded wood flakes pressed into a flat, economical core — 4×8 and 4×9 ft, 9–25 mm.
Indicative FOB reference. Final price depends on core, glue class, volume and freight at time of order.
Request a quotation→Chipboard — particle board, panneau de particules, tablero de partículas — is made by blending graded wood flakes with adhesive and pressing them into a homogeneous panel. It is the cheapest way to buy a flat, dimensionally stable sheet, which is why it underpins most of the world's cabinet and RTA furniture production.
Huayanwood supplies chipboard raw for customers who laminate in-house, and melamine faced for direct assembly. Standard formats are 1220 × 2440 mm and the taller 1220 × 3050 mm sheet that cuts a full wardrobe side without a joint, in 9 mm to 25 mm.

Calibrated thickness, not nominal
Chipboard is bought by volume and sold by millimetre. Our sheets are calibrated to ±0.3 mm so an 18 mm panel really is 18 mm — the difference between a cabinet that assembles square and one that does not.
4×9 ft for full-height carcasses
A 3050 mm sheet cuts a complete wardrobe side or kitchen tall unit with no joint and no waste offcut, which usually pays for the taller format on its own.
Melamine matched to your decor
We press melamine faces in woodgrains, solids and textures, and can match a decor code or physical sample before the order is confirmed.

Palletised, steel strapped and wrapped; edges protected so sheet corners arrive square rather than bruised.

Frequently asked
Anything not covered? Send the specification and we will answer in writing.
Ask a question →Is chipboard the same as particle board?
Yes. Chipboard, particle board and panneau de particules are the same product — wood flakes bonded with resin and pressed. The name changes by market, not by construction.
Chipboard or MDF — which should I buy?
Chipboard is cheaper and lighter, and holds screws well on the face but poorly at the edge. MDF machines and edges far more cleanly and takes paint better. For painted or routed work choose MDF; for carcasses, shelving and flat-pack, chipboard is the economical choice.
Can chipboard be used in a kitchen or bathroom?
Standard chipboard swells permanently if water reaches the core, so it belongs in dry interiors. For sink units and vanity carcasses we supply moisture-resistant (green core) board on request.
What is the formaldehyde class?
E1 as standard, tested to EN 717-1. E0 and ENF grades are available on selected thicknesses for project volumes.
Can you supply cut-to-size panels?
Yes — cut-to-size, edge banded and drilled to your cutting list. Send the schedule and we will confirm yield and lead time; cut-to-size orders add 3–5 days.
